Studio Lighting Techniques Workshop News

Summer/Fall 2007 Studio Lighting Workshop August 23rd, 2007
7/14/2007 2:49:56 PM

It is workshop time again. Starting August 23rd I will be starting up the studio lighting techniques workshop again. We will discuss various lighting styles and techniques, how to use the various pieces of studio equipment, posing, perparation, and lighting theory. We will have a live model to demonstate with and show how each light effects the subject.  Meetings 1 & 2 will be portrait sessions, meeting 3 will be a tabletop session, showing how to light various objects including hard to shoot things like glass and jewelry. The last session will be a lightpainting workshop using a Hosemaster, Light Brush, and other light painting tools. This is a chance to bring the art and unknown back into your photography without the use of Photoshop. It is a lot of fun.

The fee for this 4 session workshop is $50 to SBCC club members. This workshop is available to current paid SBCC members only. Payment is to be made at the first workshop meeting on the 23rd of August. Cash, check, or Visa/Mastercard is OK.

You will need your camera for sessions 2, 3 and 4. Your camera should have adjustable shutter speed and aperture as well as some sort of external flash connector, either a hot shoe or PC plug. Contact me if you have any questions. 310-320-5828 ext 311

This workshop is limited to 8 people, you may sign up at the next July meeting or the first meeting in August.
