About: I was born in Kolkata (India) and have lived in the United States for more than three decades. In addition to the SBCC, I have also joined the PSA and its EIDcircuit No.8. I have learned and enjoyed greatly from these clubs and groups. I am a senior faculty member at the UCLA (Email: kar@ucla.edu)and my work requires extensive travels.I try to do some shooting whereaver I go. I am using digital photography seriously and do 80/20% digital/35mm film/slide formats.I use the Nikon D100 and D200 DSLRs augmented with digital Leica cameras.I use Photoshop CS2 for altering my photos, scanned negatives & sildes.I now spend more time for "making pictures " than "taking photos".I am experimenting with "creative" photography and using photography for promoting causes of disadvantaged groups.
