Well, if your willing to take a word of a rookie -
i'd cut out the land, keep only the sky and maybe also cut out abit of the dark right side as well.

Oh I don't know, I think it needs the land below, gives it some depth and some perspective. Perhaps the dark area on the upper left is a bit much but overall it is a nice moody picture. Needs a lighthouse or something else in the bottom to really make it cool and drag your eye. ;=]

This is sort of a ink blot image, different folks see different things. I agree the ground has to stay. Im not certain about a light house but a prairie type wind mill in profile...awesome. In addition I flipped it left-right, cropped it tigher, lightened the mid tones and pumped up local contrast. Maybe I should just take my own pics!
