Spotting Slides For Club Competition

By SBCC - Redondo Beach CA

The procedure for marking slide prior to competition submission

Spotting Slides For Club Competition

  1. Print legibly and with dark ink. The projectionist and the people working at the scoring table are primarily working in near darkness.
  2. Place letter entry within the spot.
  3. Use self adhesive labels and spots for all slides. This spot is used so that the projectionist can properly insert the slide into the projector to show the slide as the maker intended. The thumb-spot is always in the lower left corner of a correctly oriented slide as viewed by transmitted light.
  4. Place information in required position (see examples above).
