Web sites featuring images of earth from space
On Monday, January 12th 2004 I was privledged to offer a presentation to the club on the topic of 'Photography from Space - History, Science and Art'.
A number of people have contacted me asking where they could find such images on the web. So...here are some of the sites I found usefull.
NASA is a prime resource; http://grin.hq.nasa.gov/ is NASA's " Great Images " site
http://images.jsc.nasa.gov/ search tool for images at Johnson Space Center
http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/sseop/clickmap/
http://earth.jsc.nasa.gov/sseop/efs/
http://seawifs.gsfc.nasa.gov/ A NASA & NASDA (Japan's NASA) project
http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/photos.html NASA Goddard starting point
http://landsat.gsfc.nasa.gov/earthasart/ Prime tool for Earth as Art
http://www.nro.gov/ Prime tool for CORONA history
That should keep you going.
Cheers - John Bohner
